We are delighted to be a founding signatory of the UK Packaging Pact, a new ten-year initiative led by WRAP to accelerate the transition to a more sustainable and circular packaging system.

Launched this week, the Pact brings together nearly 100 organisations across the value chain, including major retailers, manufacturers, recyclers and industry bodies, to collaborate on practical solutions that reduce waste, cut emissions and prepare businesses for future regulation.

Building on the success of the previous UK Plastics Pact, the new agreement expands its scope to cover all packaging materials, including plastics. It comes at a critical time, as global waste levels continue to rise and businesses face increasing cost pressures linked to resource use and volatile energy markets.

The UK Packaging Pact aims to transform how packaging is designed, used and recovered. Signatories will work together to optimise packaging, scale reuse and refill systems, support investment in recycling infrastructure, and improve data harmonisation across the sector.

The Pact also provides a platform for industry to help shape evolving UK policy, including Extended Producer Responsibility and other key reforms, ensuring businesses are ready for the future while contributing to a more sustainable system.

As a founding signatory, we look forward to working with partners across industry and government to unlock progress and deliver meaningful change in packaging.
